Alignment

Wheel alignment is the specific measurement and angle of each wheel on your vehicle. The wheels need to be parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground to create optimal usage of each tire. With proper alignment, the vehicle will drive smoother and potentially save more fuel due to the complex suspension and components not having to work as hard to keep your tires straight.

What can go wrong?

Misalignment can occur due to potholes, curbs and everyday wear and tear which will result in uneven tire wear, poor handling and shorter tire life. The steering wheel will begin to pull left or right which will cause the engine to work harder in order to overcome the rolling resistance from the wheels, compromising crucial steering and suspension parts.

What can you do?

Look for any signs that may be leading to your wheels being misaligned; uneven tire wear, steering wheel is crooked when straight or pulling to the left or right or squealing tires. Be sure to check each tire's pressure in order to prevent a reason of cause for misalignment. Have a service advisor restore proper alignment when necessary.
