  • What Does Honda Sensing Do?

Honda Sensing is a suite of safety features that comprises multiple advanced technologies to help mitigate and prevent collisions. Traffic sign recognition uses a camera system to display pertinent information to the driver while the vehicle moves forward. Traffic Jam Assist works with the Lane Keeping Assist System to help keep your vehicle in the centre of your lane by keeping a safe distance from the cars around you and applying steering torque when lane drift is detected. The Forward Collision Warning system alerts you with audible, visual, and tactile warnings when approaching an object with too much speed. If you fail to apply the brakes, the Collision Mitigation Braking system applies them for you to reduce the likelihood or severity of impact. Lane Departure Warning monitors your vehicle's lane position and alerts you if you drift into another lane without signalling. Road Departure Mitigation helps to steer and apply brake pressure if it detects your vehicle leaving the road. Finally, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow keeps you at a constant and regulated speed, keeping a safe distance from the cars around you.

  • What Models have Honda Sensing?

All 2021 and 2022 models come standard with Honda Sensing Technologies except for the HR-V, in which these features are only available on premium trim levels above the EX model. However, starting in 2023, all models including the base HR-V include Honda Sensing technologies as standard. Yes, but only when necessary. If Honda Sensing detects you are approaching a vehicle or object at high speeds, and you fail to apply the brakes in time, it will automatically apply brake pressure to avoid a collision.
