Honda Vehicles have been Awarded the Coveted TOP SAFETY PICK+
Each year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) evaluates automotive brand models to determine their level of safety. For 2022, nine of Honda's vehicles received the elite award. Visit Castle Honda in Etobicoke, Ontario, and browse our new inventory of impressively safe vehicles.
Honda Civic (Sedan/Hatchback)
Crashworthiness ratings are awarded after a vehicle becomes subject to 65 km/h collisions on each side to determine impact damage to the vehicle and dummy injury. This small car received the six highest-level "good" ratings under the crashworthiness category. In the crash avoidance and mitigation categories, the Civic scored "good" for headlights and "superior" for its standard front pedestrian and collision prevention technology.
Honda Insight
This small four-door sedan received "good" ratings in all the crashworthiness categories. It also passed the crash avoidance and mitigation categories with "good" and "superior" ratings. Furthermore, the Honda Insight received a "good+" rating for the vehicle's ease-of-use LATCH child seat restraint system.
Honda Accord
This medium-size sedan received "good" ratings in most crashworthiness categories. Under the crash avoidance and mitigation categories, the Accord scored "good" and "acceptable" for headlights. The front pedestrian and vehicle collision prevention daytime ratings were "good." Accord's front vehicle-to-pedestrian collision prevention at night was scored as "advanced." "Good+" ratings were awarded for seat belts and child restraints.
Honda Odyssey
This minivan received all "good" ratings under the crashworthiness category. Under the crash avoidance and mitigation category, the vehicle earned "acceptable" for headlights and "superior" for its front crash prevention technology. The Odyssey was also awarded a "Good+" rating for its LATCH system.
