2023 Honda Pilot Design

The 2023 Honda Pilot is redesigned to drive more like the Acura MDX, as Honda decided to switch away from the Odyssey's wheelbase to the MDX's for the Pilot. This means the Pilot will drive less like a minivan and a lot more like the SUV it is. It should also have more handling agility.

Inside, the Pilot should look more like the recently revamped Civic. You will likely see controls that are clearly labelled and easy to reach, supportive front seats, and optional leather upholstery as you go up in trim levels. Honda typically uses breathable leather materials, which significantly contributes to overall comfort.

2023 Honda Pilot Performance

The new Pilot will likely still be powered by a V6, but Honda will probably switch to the MDX's higher-powered engine. This V6 gets 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, which is more potent than what the outgoing Pilot's engine manages. The nine-speed transmission will also likely gain another gear to match the MDX's 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive will probably still be standard, while all-wheel drive will remain an option for all trims.
